How to change the date-time format in DOORS 9.1?

In DOORS 7.1 the attributes with type: Date are shown in English/American format.

In DOORS 9.1 the attributes with type: Date are shown in German format (I have a German Windows).

How can I change the display format for attributes with type Date?

(Yes, I have admin access to the database.
Yes, I have read the help text: "Updating user options for locales",
but have not found the place to change it :( )

I don't have this completely understood, but I know that there are times DOORS inherits the settings from your PC, which you can play with from Control-Panel >Regional settings. Notice that means that 'Dates' are stored generically in the database, but displayed differently on different PCs.

As for changing the display format for a particular attribute ... Yuuuuck. I ended up writing a pre-save-attr trigger that for specific 'string' attributes in the module intended to display only 'Dates', it reads the proposed value (the one the user types in) and tries to convert it to a date. If successful it formats it correctly, in my case removing the 'Wednesday' and displaying "4-May-2010". If it doesn't recognize the user's entry as a date, it warns, rejects, and preserves the old value. I intend to enhance my script such that it will deploy a 'Date' format 'string' attribute with such a trigger associated, and the user can pick which format that attribute will display. Digressing ... I guess the Trigger can remove itself if the attribute no longer exists.

(The attribute with type "Date" stores the date and time in an internal value. My question was about the format of the display.)

Yes, it works!
If I change the "Control-Panel > Regional settings" ("Einstellungen > Regions- und Sprachoptionen") the display of the date field changes.

But there is a help text: "Updating user options for locales". It describes the locale for string and text attributes. It describes also the locale for date and time. I can't find it under "Tools > Options"

???

Yes, don't see it either under the Display tab. Perhaps they are refering to the System settings, or its an oversight.

DOORS 9.1 uses the locale as defined in the system.
